The ISO/IEC 27032 Lead Cybersecurity Manager training course has been updated and is now named “Lead Cybersecurity Manager” due to changes in the ISO/IEC 27032:2023 standard, which now focuses exclusively on Internet security.
The main changes in the new version of the Lead Cybersecurity Manager training course include:
- The new version is now based on other sources besides ISO/IEC 27032, like the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC TS 27110:2021, ISO/IEC 27100:2020, etc.
- The content of the course has been significantly enhanced. The information is now up to date and in line with the latest upgrades in the security industry.
- Multiple-choice quizzes have been added for each section.
- A new multiple-choice exam has been developed.
For a more comprehensive understanding of these changes and their impact, please refer to “The Revamped ISO/IEC 27032 Lead Cybersecurity Manager Training Course” brochure available here.
Considering these updates, Trainers will need to go through the Lead Cybersecurity Manager training course, pass the new exam, and obtain the corresponding certification.
All trainers will be expected to complete the exam and will also undergo a transition period. The ISO/IEC 27032 Lead Cybersecurity Manager course will be discontinued on January 15, 2024.
During this period until January 15, trainers who do not sit for the exam can offer only the current version of the training course and must complete the exam to offer the new version.
After January 15th, PECB will no longer offer ISO/IEC 27032 LCM training courses, and access will be removed from trainers and partners.
