Module 1 Introduction to CUI
The Introduction to (CUI) module provides a deep foundation in understanding the purpose, and relevance of CUI. This module describes various threats and risks that pose challenges to CUI, equipping learners with the knowledge to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Participants will gain insights into effective CUI storage practices, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity.
Module 2 CUI Handling
Dive into a comprehensive exploration of the best practices and procedures for effectively handling and managing CUI. Participants will gain expertise in CUI determination and classification, understanding the criteria and methodologies for identifying and categorizing CUI. This module explains best practices for marking CUI, ensuring proper labeling and handling throughout its lifecycle.
Module 3 CUI Safeguarding Controls
Embark on a profound understanding of the essential measures and controls for protecting (CUI). Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding in logical controls, including access control mechanisms and authentication methods to safeguard CUI. This module also analyzes the principles and practices of cryptography, enabling learners to employ encryption techniques to secure CUI.
Module 4 CUI Policies and Guidance Documents
This module provides a thorough overview of the policies and guidance documents governing CUI. Participants will explore agency policies, understanding the specific requirements and guidelines for handling CUI within their organizations. The module covers Executive Order 13556 and CFR Part 2002, providing insights into the legal and regulatory framework surrounding CUI. Participants will also gain practical knowledge on the implementation processes and best practices for CUI.
PECB Micro-learning Courses: These are typically short, bite-sized lessons designed to deliver specific, focused content. Micro-learning breaks down larger topics into smaller modules, often with a duration of a few minutes to around 15 minutes per module. Learners can consume these modules at their own pace, and the content is usually delivered through various formats like videos, interactive quizzes, or infographics.
Capsules: –Consists of 15-minute content (video, reading material, etc.)
Modules: –Consists of 4 capsules + 1 practice quiz
- Practice quiz is optional
- One can obtain the Attestation with 1 CPD without the quiz
Competency Essentials Certificate:
- Consists of 4 modules + 1 final quiz
- Certificate with ANAB logo
Total Learning Duration: 4 Hours: Each Competency has 4 Modules, and 1 Module has 4 capsules of 15 minute content (video, reading material, etc).
