The transition of ISO/IEC 27701:2025 into an independent management system standard
Why Should You Attend?
This course helps privacy and security professionals understand the key updates introduced in ISO/IEC 27701:2025. You will learn how the clauses related to understanding, planning, and implementing a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) now function independently from ISO/IEC 27001. The training also explains the newly revised control structure: instead of guidance tied directly to ISO/IEC 27002, controls are now organized into categories for PII processors, PII controllers, and shared controls applicable to both. Where relevant, these categories may still reference ISO/IEC 27002.
After completing the training, participants can take the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27701:2025 Transition exam. Successful candidates may apply for the globally recognized credential that demonstrates their ability to realign and enhance a PIMS in line with the updated ISO/IEC 27701:2025 requirements.
