Candidates after taking training from SMATICA.com and have passed PECB Exam, can apply to PECB certificate request. As part of certification application, PECB will ask specific experience information with contact details of references to verify candidate’s experience. Once application for certification is submitted, what does status of “Reference Pending” mean.

After the candidate submits application to PECB for certificate with References information, the status of application is marked as “Reference Pending.” This means his listed references have not yet completed the reference request form sent to them from PECB. At this point, the candidate can ask the references used, to fill out the references form received from PECB via Email.

In a case where reference don’t verify the candidates experience, The application cannot move forward until the request forms are submitted.

Once the references have completed their part, the candidate’s application will move to the “In Treatment” stage, which typically takes 3 to 7 working days (Monday–Thursday) to process the PECB official certificate. Candidate will get an email notification as soon as the review is finished.
